Yesterday I was in the backyard with the girls when Kate discovered a little garden lizard. She was very interested in talking to the lizard and wanted to touch it. She poked it a few times and after my encouragement, picked it up.
It wiggled and then bit her.
(shrieks & hysterics)
She insisted on going inside after that and once she was calmed down (it scared her more than hurt her), we decided to name the lizard. And what was the name Kate & Emma came up with?
Sinbad Stupidhead
An obvious choice since the lizard was both bad and stupid. Right? Then Kate told me that she was going to go back outside and find that lizard so she could put poop on it. Lovely. We were relieved of that chore by our dog, Jelly, who had already eaten the lizard. Darn.
Now we know that Jelly is a good guard dog and was protecting her from the mean lizard.

"Just Chillin"
Twins
Kate is 4 years old going on 40. She is full of questions and curiosity and constantly surprises us with her large vocabulary (often quoting various animated movies). She is Daddy's mini me, which means she never tires of running, jumping and talking. She always wants to help and/or be in charge. Her favorite things are candy and stuffed animals. She hates to be separated from Emma.
Emma is our pink-tastic princess. Twirling, dressing up, singing and dancing are this girly-girl's favorite things. She is extremely polite and affectionate. She is Mommy's mini me, which means she is clumsy and easy going, and frequently gets lost in her own imagination. She will sit in bed acting out stories with her dolls long after Kate has fallen asleep. She loves to play "Mom & Sweetheart" with Kate, where they role-play and take turns being the mom or baby.

Your posts about the things your girls do and say crack me up! I love the name they picked out. I wish Jelly wouldn't have eaten it so soon. I think a picture of a lizard with poop on it to go along with the post would have been perfect :)!
